As today is the last day of November, I am proud to announce that I this officially marks my twentieth blog of the month. That makes a whole 18 more posts than last month. I know I said everyday, but 20 out of 30 is what? 66.666666%, a solid D. However, I live in France. Therefore, I can submit myself to the french grading scale where a 14 out of 20 is an A+. Merci, la France.

I guess I shouldn't lie about the whole 20 thing. These pictures are remnants of my 20th birthday (that was at the beginning of October). I don't think I posted on my birthday, because I happened to be under the influence of the stomach flu. With that said, I did manage to slip into this bright orange and green ensemble and it did make me feel a little bit better as did the giant french feast I consumed. Now, in the midst of winter, it serves as a nice flashback to sunnier days and exposed limbs. Even though it's freezing outside, hopefully this outfit made you feel a little warmer on the inside. Although, I'm sure you are probably reading this post with the heat turned on high while sipping a Starbucks gingerbread latte and listening to Nat King Cole's Christmas album. Oh December, get at me.

diy half moon manicure

Do It Yourself (DIY): Half moon manicure

Because I got sOooOoOoOo many comments on this post asking how to do the half moon manicure. I figured I would grant all of the requests and teach you how to do it yourself! Just another a small glimpse of my talents, specifically nail art. Get into it:

Photobucket

1. Paint your nails a color, any color.

Photobucket

2. Find a crossword puzzle book to put your hand in.

3. Place semi-circle stickers on the bottom half of your nail, adjusting to whatever size half-moon you want.

Photobucket

4. Choose another color and paint your nails like a 1st grader, who hasn't quite figured out how to color inside the lines. At this point, I would suggest taking your hand out of the crossword puzzle book, unless you want your nails to look like the above picture.

Photobucket

5. Peel off stickers and unveil a beautiful two toned nail.

Photobucket

6. Keep admiring your newfound nail art talents while posing with a book of crossword puzzles.

7. When all your friends start admiring your nail art talents, make sure to slyly let them know Noe Connaît taught you everything you know and showed you the fun and easy way to Half-moon magic.

jared's trousers

Photobucket

These were my brother's trousers. He used to work at Disneyland and these were a part of his uniform. Yes, he never gave the uniform back. So, I stole them and I love them.

Photobucket

My photographer made me sit on this wall.

Photobucket

The things I do for blog photos. I must really like you guys.

Photobucket

I was scared.

Photobucket

Do you see that drop? This is my "I'm so scared, I'm going to fall off this wall, it smells like pee smile."

Photobucket

Jared's Disneyland trousers, vintage cheetah top, vintage button up, Kylie's mom's sweater, and Guess heels:

My toes were cold.

The moral of this story is to conquer your fears, wear things you would never think of wearing, and steal from your brother, especially if he worked at Disneyland. À demain!

thanksgiving en français

Do yourself a favor- click play while you read this post and be thankful that I gave you the gift of the one and only Thanksgiving song on the earth:

Photobucket

If you think I ate something even remotely close to the deliciousness of this turkey tonight, you're seriously disturbed. Things this majestic don't exist in France. This is the dirty bird of the lady pictured below:

Photobucket

First Thanksgiving in 20 years without these two fools. I love you guys and miss your guts.

Photobucket

La père de Noelle. This is not a joke. He got tired of waiting and decided to sit at the Thanksgiving table alone until someone would serve him. This is one of my favorite pictures of all time. I miss your crazy Thanksgiving antics. I love you,
Father Christmas.

Photobucket

Of course, I miss pumpkin pie the mostest. Oh, why don't you exist in France, you sweet, creamy, delicious, orange-ish brown concoction of angel babies and pots of gold at the end of rainbows? Come back to me pie, come back.

skirt over pants, namely jeans

This happened today:

Photobucket

Mmhmm.

Photobucket

For once in my life, I kid you not. November 23rd. Skirt over pants. I'm sorry, no other photos were taken and I'm sorry I'm headless in these pictures. All I have are these petite photo booth pictures that I took to make sure I looked crazy before leaving to go to school. I really wish I could have captured the disgusted, yet curious expressions of the French people I walked by. They couldn't figure out what hit them. Mission accomplished.

don't judge me. i want a new fashion turban.

The blog Little Fille is having a winter giveaway! And guess what the beloved item is? A turban, turband, headband, thing that goes on your head. Obviously, I am extremely determined to win one, therefore I will explain all of the reasons why I need a new fashion turban through this blog post. Here we go!

1. I have a strong affinity for things on my head.

Photobucket

Hats sold in supermarkets.

Photobucket

Multiple hats at one time.

Photobucket

Wigs.

Photobucket

The original fashion turban. Girl with the Pearl Earring.

2. This fashion turban is my one and only and it's getting tired.

In South Coast Plaza.

Photobucket

On the streets of New York.

Photobucket

On Christmas Day! Come on. Say it. I deserve to win.

3. Final reason- I have proof of how amazing(ly ridiculous) the red fashion turban would look on my head.

Photobucket

Red t-shirt.

As you can see from these pictures, it seems winter has officially fallen upon Lyon. I promise, it is getting ridiculously cold outside, don't let the sun fool you. The city is constantly freezing and I've got a bad feeling it's not going to let up anytime soon. This is my favorite and only winter coat. Good thing it's white; it will never get dirty (except every time I wear it). More important than the coat are the clogs on my feet. I'm quite surprised the clogs haven't made it into a post yet. I found these bad girls in my grandparent's house. They evidently belonged to my auntie in the late 70s. Needless to say, they are a great addition to my collection of stolen items and I love them more than anyone born after 1967 should.

Winter school yard chums:

And workin' it from the front- Kylie, Hannah, Renee, and Leo. True french babes.

kylie monet

Photobucket

This is a post about the beautiful gal pictured above. As the official photographer for Noe Connaît, I felt she deserved a post to herself. Think of it as a thank you note. Here are all the things I love and enjoy about Kylie Monet:

Photobucket

She loves James just as much as I do (if not more).

Photobucket

She ties a mean heel-lace.

Photobucket

She bakes like a wizard. I mean seriously, her treats taste like clouds made out of babies' faces.

Photobucket

She bought me this pink shirt that I'm obsessed with beyond belief. Is this reason kind of selfish? Yes.

Photobucket

She's got game. See that arm/chest? That's a pretty attractive Australian man. Get it girl.

Photobucket

She's adorable.

Photobucket

And then she's not adorable, but she's funny. And so is Courtney's face.

Photobucket

In her free time, she's a gazelle.

Photobucket

She's got style. And moves like jagger.

Photobucket

She double fists rosé and red wine. Which leads to:

Photobucket

The last but certainly not least- she might dance on tables.
